Priest Electric uses Ciba (Vantico) wear resistant ceramic filled products which offer excellent:
  • Impact Resistance-to withstand mechanical shock and stress of high impact
  • Chemical Resistance-to withstand a harsh chemical environment

    • Sliding Abrasion Resistance-due to a high percentage of alumina oxide fillers

 Repair and protcct your pumps, impellers, wear plates and other surfaces from abrasion and chemicals with Ciba (Vantico) XMH-8507 Corrosion Resistant Compound and XMH-8518 Wear Resistant Coating.  We can give extended life to your equipment. 
 
The impeller on the right was worn badly.  The photo shows how we are able to repair the vanes and put the impeller back to a fully functional state. The ceramic coating will protect the impeller and if wear occurs it will be easily evident when the black coating reveals the gray underneath.

Wearcoat XMH8518 - Corrosion Resistant Compound

Wearcoat XMH 8518 is a corrosion resistant compound and protectrive lining designed to offer resistance to cavitation, impingement, and bimetallic corrosion.  It is a two-part, 100% solids, epoxy that has been toughened with an elastomer. The elastomeric nodifier offers a high degree of elongation, flex, expansion, and contraction capabilities. Wearcoat XMH 8518 also uses ceramic fillers for high resistance to particle erosion and for chemical Inertness.

Application

  • Pumps and valves
  • Tube sheets
  • Heat exchangers and Water boxes
  • Tank lining

Use as a protective lining where damage occurs from cavitation, mild impact/ersosion, or other corrosive/erosion effects.

Wearguard  XMH8507 - Abrasion resistant compound

Wearguard XMH 8507 is a two-part, microsized ceramic beaded system designed for abrasion and impact areas involving particle sizes less than 1/8". It is particularly suited to slurry applications which involve both an abrasive and corrosive environment.

Applications

  • Fan and blower housings
  • Pipe Elbows and Transitions
  • Sumps
  • Vibrating Screen Frames
  • Pumps - Slurry and Water
  • Chutes

Used for rebuilding worn areas, or as a protective lining where maximum abrasion occurs and resistance to erosion by fine particles is required.
